About Us Sticky

Overview:

The West Mayo Equine Group was founded in November 2008. The establishment of this group came about due to large interest from local people in the area spanning across the west mayo electoral area. Many of the current members are local farmers with long established roots in the equestrian field while still maintaining cattle and sheep on their farms. Yet we have the more experienced stud farm owners also who's knowledge is always welcome and appreciated. While others are only starting out whether it is for leisure, competition or breeding. So as you can see we have a broad spectrum from the outset covering all areas of equestrian interests. Whether you own a horse or not is irrelevant for membership. Our group is focused on open discussion and everyones opionion matters
